Friends of the Earth Middle East (FoEME) is a unique organization that brings together Jordanian Palestinian, and Israeli environmentalists. FoEME’s primary objective is the promotion of cooperative efforts to protect our shared environmental heritage, to advance both sustainable regional development and the creation of necessary conditions for lasting peace in our region. FoEME is a member of Friends of the Earth International, the largest grassroots environmental organization in the world.

Launching event of the book in Jerusalem with Yael Lerer of Andalus Publishing, and Shir Hever, a researcher and an economist of the Alternative Information Center. The lecture will focus on the relevance of Naomi Klein’s theory to Israel, examining the growth of disaster capitalism in local history from its beginning with The Stabilization Program, to this day.

String Sextet No.2 in G, op. 36 by Brahms

will be performed by a group of players from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, who cooperated during the last academic year, as part of the chamber music program of the Academy. The six — Avner Finberg and Marianna Tetro - violins, Tal Eisenberg and Maya Felixbrodt - violas, Micha Finkelstein and Fabienne van Eck - cello — are undergraduate and graduate students in the academy, and they worked under guidance of the violist Mr. Zvi Carmeli.
