lokal_30 is a new art space – independent gallery. It does not resemble any other art institution. It does not seek to compete with the former, but to co-operate by providing a complementary space for projects that could not be carried out elsewhere. lokal_30 is run by curators and artists: Agnieszka Rayzacher, Zuzanna Janin, Michal Suchora.

Artist Zuzanna Janin (b.1963) lives and works in Warsaw. She is part of lokal_30 gallery in Warsaw. Her works include sculpture, installation, video, photography, action works and performance. She has taken part in the Sydney Biennale, Istanbul Biennale, Soonsbeek, Liverpool Biennale and more… Her works were presented in Kunstverein Salzburg, Museum of Contemporary Art w Chicago, Kunsthalle Bern, National Gallery Zacheta Warszawa, ModernaMuset, Stockholm, Jeu de Pomme, Paris, Ludwig Museum, Aachen, Center for Contemporary Art, Warsaw, Israel Museum, Jerusalem, Hamburgerbanhof, Berlin, Kunstmusem Bern, Foksal Gallery, Museum on the Seam, Jerusalem, Art Museum, Haifa, MoMa Warsaw, Ludwig Museum, Budapest, Nelly Aman Gallery, Tel Aviv.

A rare chance to see two masterpieces back to back. Two of the best westerns ever made. Each one in his own way a milestone in the representation of America in the 20th century. We will screen the movies and offer a short commentary on how they are related by Yanai Segal.

The Tea Man – Chajin is an hour long experiment in cinema and theft. 10 fragment were taken out of “Film Art” (Bela Tarr, Kon Ichikawa, and more) and to each fragment a popular song was attached (Led Zeppelin, Nick Cave, The Smiths, and more).

The program was made for the event “Fall” that took place in Tel Aviv, April 2009, and is the second part in a series of three titled “Zen For Every Worker”
