About the Exhibition “Discharge from the Memory

Corps” by Nekoda Singer

The new exhibition by Nekoda Singer at Barbur features paintings hanging from the rafters in the manner of flags alongside objects, or rather a collection that has been constructed from a conglomeration of old and discarded materials – dolls, toys, drawers and shelves that seem to have been rescued from the trash by their present elevation to the status of works of art.

Through personal conflict with life and the regime there emerges a single though impossible way that the group must take in order to achieve its ultimate goal.

XO XO

When culture turns binary there is no sky to see
When culture turns binary there is only one color left
All is predicted and permission is given between two opposite poles that will never meet for fear that if they do, something unexpected will happen.
